VICTOR LINFORD FOUNDATION
NEWS LETTER #4 !!! EXHIBITION oktober 7th - novmber 5th !!!
Dear Supporters of the Victor Linford Foundation !
We'd like to inform you again about our current and future
activities:
EXHIBITIONS
After the first successful Memorial show in 2005, we carefully
started to organise a series of further exhibitions. As announced
earlier, we're aiming at a combination of Victor Linford's artistic
heritage with works by talented young artists in the same genre.
With this in mind, our first show will open next October, in the
Magenta Gallery at Nymegen. The centre of this exhibition will be a
large amount of paintings from the private stock of one of the most
dedicated collectors of Linford's later work. Around this
fascinating selection, we have invited two promising younger
painters to exhibit their works, which will also be for sale:
1. Igor Kruter (1979, Odessa/Ukraine). Art School Arnheim. Is
fascinated by Old Masters' techniques, and strongly inspired by
modern masters such as Ernst Fuchs and Victor Linford. Also
successfully active as an artistic photographer.
2. Sonja Krom / Sonna (1970, Enschede). AKI Academy Enschede.
Lives and works alternatively in Holland, Spain and Germany.
Paints in a hyper-realistic, almost photographical style. Works
often on assignment: portraits, large murals, etc.
This exciting exhibition will be opened on October 7th, at the
Magenta Gallery, 65 Lage Markt, Nymegen/Holland. Invitations will
be sent out mid-September. We welcome all our friends and
supporters !
ARCHIVE
Roderik Rodenburg, our achivist, is happy with the supply so far,
but he sometimes feels the need to give our contributors some
technical advice about reproductions, especially in the
photographic field. So feel free to contact him before you take
pictures of your own paintings: an e-mail to cmanro@dds.nl
will be answered immediately !
And we're not waiting for pictures only - also your clippings,
audio-visual material and other memorabilia are most welcome ! As
soon as we deem the Linford archive representative in all respects,
we will start to involve it in parts with our next exhibitions…
